The three questions
Every Virtuoso output is assessed on:
- Relevance — does the output address what was asked?
- Factual consistency — are claims supported?
- Quality — is the output useful and well-formed?
Retry loops
When standards aren’t met, the Critic rejects with specific, actionable feedback, and the commission retries with that feedback injected — an adversarial loop that converges on quality instead of shipping the first draft.
The useCriticGate hook (src/hooks/useCriticGate.ts) wires this gate into lens execution.
